Leg Warmers Are Back!
Leg warmers were a huge hit in the 80's. But those of us who wore them the first time around are passing the trend along to another generation.
Flashdance is back baby and in a big or little way. Leg warmers for babies may sound a bit silly but once you see this trend on the little legs you can't help but smile.
BabyLegs® is known for reviving the leg warmer look for kids and now they've launched a new line for newborns!
Created especially for preemies and newborns, the new BabyLegs® are just the right size. They provide a cozy layer of warmth for the first months of life, and are ideal for both home and hospital use. In the neonatal intensive care unit, leg warmers add warmth without disturbing monitoring equipment or IVs. At home, leg warmers provide easy access for frequent diaper changes. The blend of yarns are crafted from 80% organic cotton, come in 12 different styles and start at $10. (see website for newborn styles)

The story of how BabyLegs came about is great. In 2005, a young mom was confronted with a diaper rash that just wouldn't quit. The rash needed some fresh air to heal, but she was also concerned about keeping her daughter warm. In a moment of inspiration, she snipped the feet off of a pair of socks and fitted her daughter from hip to ankle with a cool set of leg warmers. These leg warmers not only kept her daughter warm, but also protected her from the elements, made diaper changing and potty training easier, and protected her soft knees while crawling.

BabyLegs® leg warmers are such a hit the company has expanded into other categories of children's hosiery, including socks and tights. So if leg warmers just aren't your thing they're sure to have something you'll adore.
