Girdles For Guys?

Could there be a new girdle for guys? Well, not exactly—but the creators of some of the most sought after undergarments for women are now smoothing things out for men.

 

 

SPANX, long known for helping women hide the bumps, get rid of the lumps and look hot in any form-fitting dress, is launching a line to help men flatten their stomachs, hide their love handles and perk up their pecs.

Don’t worry, there’s nothing feminine about these undergarments. In fact, men might be surprised to discover how “normal” this new line of SPANX looks. It’s actually a classic cotton t-shirt that has been turned it into a compression shirt.

But will manly men pull-on these stretchy shirts made by a company that has been so female focused? According to Spanx founder Sara Blakely, it’s men who have been asking for them. “The men in my life (and in Hollywood) have been asking me to make SPANX for men for years. It’s your favorite t-shirt without your least favorite part…love handles.”

Want to get your love handles into one of these shirts? Right now they’re available for pre-order from SPANX and launching exclusively at Neiman Marcus stores in March.

The cotton compression undershirts sell for $55 to $58 and come in three styles: The Crew, The V-Neck and The Tank.
